AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

What is an Air Source Heat Pump

• Naturally produced energy for homes across the UK

• All the heating and hot water you’ll ever need - at a fraction of the price you’ve been used to paying

• Kind on your pocket, kind on the environment

An air source heat pump (ASHP) transfers heat from outside to inside a building.  or vice versa. Using what’s known as vapour compression refrigeration, an ASHP uses a refrigerant system involving a compressor and a condenser to absorb heat at one place and release it at another. This provides an ambient temperature whatever the time of year or climate.

What makes Air Source Heat Pumps so outstanding

  • Possibility of dehumidifying and refreshing ambient air

Money-saving energy

Installing an air source heat pump will help you reduce your energy costs. Instead of relying in on coal or electricity-based heating, you’ll be using the outside air – which is far more cost-effective. Plus, ASHP makes it easier to tailor your running costs to your energy needs.

Ideal for heating rooms and water

Our air source heat pumps both heat rooms and your water. There are specific types of pump for optimal combined usage – and at Clean Renewable Energy we have a great choice of products which will provide your home with the appropriate flow temperatures for both heat and water.

Year-round heating and cooling

For 24/7 coverage, our versatile and responsive air source heat pumps provide exactly the right amount of heat or coolness, whatever the weather. What’s more, they work superbly with underfloor heating – something else that’s worth considering in your decision to switch away from fossil fuels.

Perfect for when temperatures reach extremes

Air source heat pumps work just as well in the heat of summer as in the depths of winter. In fact, an ASHP can generate temperatures of up to 40 degrees inside, when outdoors it could be as low as minus 30 degrees. The reason is down to the system’s seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP). A heat pump’s COP measures its efficiency, moderating the power output required to produce the optimum amount of heat for any given time of year.

What is an Air Source Heat PumpEasy to install

It takes as little as two days for us to install an air source heat pump. In most circumstances, it’s a very straightforward process and doesn’t normally require any form of planning permission.

Minimal Maintenance

The high-quality air source heat pumps we supply pretty much run themselves. That said, your system should be subject to an annual check by one of our engineers to make sure it is performing optimally. This will include cleaning filters, clearing any leaves or dust-build up and ensuring the refrigerant levels are as they should be.

Long lasting

As long as they are properly maintained, an air source heat pump should last up to 20 years – often twice the length of a conventional central heating boiler.  Our products all come with 10-year guarantees.

Reduced carbon footprint

Switching from coal or electricity-based heating is one of the best ways to minimise carbon emissions. Air source heat pumps are the perfect solution, because they use the outside air to heat or cool your home and are a type of low carbon heating. Plus you won’t have the hassle of fuel storage or the expense of fuel deliveries.

Integrate with wind or solar

Instead of using electricity from the grid, our air source heat pumps can be powered by wind or solar energy. By combining our market leading heat pump technology with solar panels in your home, you’ll be just about as sustainable as it gets!
